Nissan Cuts Windows into Weak-Selling NV

by

Nissan’s US-built NV full-size van is not selling well. Late last month Autoblog reported that dealers were overstocked with a 205-day supply at the end of September, but Nissan’s decision to market a passenger version of the NV starting next spring may help bring customers in.

Sport Utility Van?

The NV3500 HD Passenger Van features a 4-row/12-passenger setup with flexible seating arrangements. A long options list means the passenger NV may be attractive for personal use, allowing owners the capability of the full-size van but the amenities and convenience typical of, for instance, a Quest or Armada.

Blue arrows will not keep you cool when van reaches full capacity.

The passenger van has ample fleet potential, too. Nissan made no mention of offering the high roof available on the cargo NV, but adding the option could open up further fleet sales and allow Nissan to compete with the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter.

Until then, watch your head when climbing into that Nissan NV airport shuttle van.
