GAAMA Luncheon Features 2013 Audi allroad

GAAMA members enjoyed a look at the new 2013 Audi allroad today at Parish Food & Goods in Inman Park. Now based on the A4 Avant wagon, the allroad name returns after a seven year absence, bringing standard all-wheel drive, rugged styling and higher ground clearance than the standard A4 sedan. The allroad also offers Audi connect telematics, which includes features like real-time traffic reporting, Google Earth imagery and Google Street View.

The 2013 allroad is powered by a 211-horsepower turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with direct injection. An 8-speed automatic is the sole transmission offered, and the allroad’s stability program is optimized for a variety of road surfaces including pavement and gravel. Fuel economy is rated at 20 mpg city and 27 mpg highway.

Bolstering the allroad’s more robust capabilities is an increased ride height yielding 7.1 inches of ground clearance plus underbody protection offered by stainless steel skid plates. Higher profile rubber is mounted on 18- or optional 19-inch wheels.

Styling is consistent with equipment and conveys the allroad’s purpose while including all of the signature Audi cues. Matte bumpers and wheel arches, stainless steel sills, raised roof rails, the Audi Singleframe grille and LED running lights are all part of the look.

Inside, the allroad presents increasing levels of luxury and technology in three trim lines – Premium, Premium Plus and Prestige. The base model includes leather and a panoramic glass sunroof, while the Premium Plus vehicle on display adds three-zone auto climate control, heated front seats and a power liftgate. The display vehicle also featured the optional MMI navigation system with Audi connect. Starting price for the 2013 Audi allroad is $39,600.

GAAMA thanks Andrew Lipman, Mark Fruechtnicht and Audi of America for sponsoring our luncheon and providing us with a closer look at the 2013 allroad.
