Chicago Auto Show

I provided coverage of several brands for the 2012 Chicago Auto Show for Autotrader.com. While the Windy City’s show is not the biggest in terms of debuts, it still brings plenty of exciting concepts and production introductions.

My favorites include the Kia Track’ster, a high-performance concept based on the Soul, as well as the newest creation by Ford’s SVT crew, who this year celebrate their 20th Anniversary. The Shelby GT500 Convertible now boasts an astonishing 650 ponies from its supercharged V8.

GMC unveiled the latest generation of the Acadia eight-passenger crossover, now with more truck-like styling. And Kia brought a luxe-model of its mid-size sedan called the Optima SX Limited, loaded up with high-end equipment and sporting some fancy chrome details.
