There probably aren’t too many Cigarette Racing boat owners driving around in Camrys and Odysseys. High-performance off-shore powerboats aren’t for regular folks. No, they’re the toys of wealthy adrenaline junkies, people that buy cars like the 510-horsepower Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Black Series. That’s the special Black Series version of the already-special AMG version of the C-Class coupe. At $105,000, the C63 Black costs more than a base C250 Coupe and a C63 AMG Coupe combined. A nice little grocery-getter to match the new and much more expensive (by an order of magnitude) Cigarette Racing Black Series 50′ Marauder.
This latest AMG-inspired Cigarette creation follows a 46′ Cigarette designed to complement the SLS. Like that boat, the 50′ Black Series Marauder is powered by a pair of 1,350-horsepower Mercury engines for a total output of 2,700 horsepower. The boat shares a black and white color scheme and Alcantara upholstery with the C63 Black.
A price has not been announced, but will likely be around the $1.2 million list price for the SLS-inspired 46′ Cigarette. So the car really is a bargain.
