AutoTrader.com’s full coverage of the New York International Auto Show is wrapping up. The show featured dozens of debuts, both concepts and new models. I covered BMW, Hyundai, Mini, Porsche, Rolls-Royce, Toyota and Volkswagen, each of whom presented at least one new vehicle to the North American audience.

I want to share information on Toyota’s “100 Cars for Good” program because I think it’s a great opportunity for registered 501(c)(3) organizations. So many friends are out there working for the greater good, whether helping animals, children or those forgotten by society. A car could be a useful tool in reaching out. So here it is, simply:

J.D. Power’s annual Dependability Survey results show Toyota brands on top in eight of the fourteen categories. The Blue Oval is a big winner too, with vehicles from Ford brands taking three slots. The eightieth running of the world’s premier endurance automobile racing event will include two prototype sports cars using hybrid technology. Back in 2006, Audi brought diesel-powered rigs to the 24 Hours of Le Mans and has enjoyed great success with these TDI cars. In fact, Audi has taken ten Le Mans victories since 2000.
