Here’s a first look at the latest Ride of the Week, the 2014 Toyota Tundra 4×4 Limited CrewMax. I’ve had an opportunity to drive several Tundra models lately, including the 2013 Tundra that was the Ride of the Week back in July. But for the 2014 model year, Tundra is redesigned inside and out – although platform and powertrains remain […]

Vintage Drive: 1951 Dodge B3 “Job-Rated” Pickup

This morning, the Ormewood Park neighborhood of Atlanta probably looks a lot like it did sixty years ago. It was then, in 1951, that my neighbor Rebecca’s Dodge B3 pickup was brand-spanking new. This green and black “Pilot-House” half-ton was built when Americans were buying vehicles and suburban homes and televisions for the first time.

Wheel Time in the EcoBoost F-150

My uncle bought an F-150 with the EcoBoost V6 and gave me the opportunity to take it for a spin. His is a Lariat SuperCrew with a 6-1/2-foot bed. In a brief first drive, I found the 365-horsepower twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V-6 to be plenty powerful to push this big, 4-door pickup off the line or in a highway passing maneuver. […]
