This year marks the tenth anniversary of Mini in the United States. The lineup has grown from a single model – the 2+2 hardtop – to six variants including the extended Clubman, 4-door Countryman, 2-seat Coupe and Roadster, and commercially-focused Clubvan. Brave New World: Hybrid Audis to Race at Le Mans

The eightieth running of the world’s premier endurance automobile racing event will include two prototype sports cars using hybrid technology. Back in 2006, Audi brought diesel-powered rigs to the 24 Hours of Le Mans and has enjoyed great success with these TDI cars. In fact, Audi has taken ten Le Mans victories since 2000.

Nissan Juke-R versus Lambo, AMG & Ferrari

Nissan says their GT-R-powered Juke-R is the world’s fastest crossover. Even if this race is not completely fair, I don’t see much reason to doubt them. Hand it over to The Stig, Nissan!

Lighter, More Powerful New SL

The new Mercedes-Benz SL arrives next spring with all-aluminum construction, weighing at least 250 pounds less than its predecessor. Plus, its 4.7-liter direct-injection twin-turbo V8 makes 429 horsepower to the old car’s 382. Torque? The current SL 550’s normally aspirated 5.5-liter is good for “only” 391 lb-ft while the new car churns up 516 lb-ft.
